- 2 Large English Cucumbers, Partially peeled, sliced on the bias, cut nto ½-Inch rounds
- 4 oz. Smoked Salmon, Sliced or Torn Into Bite-Sized Pieces
- 4 oz Cream Cheese softened
- 2 - 3 tbsp Sour Cream or Crème Fraîche
- 1 tbsp Fresh Lemon Juice
- 1 tsp Fresh Lemon Zest
- 1 - 2 tbsp Fresh Dill Finely Chopped (Plus More for Garnish)
- 1/8 tsp Salt
- 1/8 tsp Black Pepper
- 1/2 tsp Chef Vedam’s Gluten-Free All-Purpose Seasoning Blend
- Flaky Sea Salt, To Taste (Light Garnish — Salmon Provides Saltiness)
- Caper For Garnish -- finely Chopped
- Fresh Chives, For Garnish -- thinly slices
- Lemon-Infused Olive Oil, For Finishing
Instructions
- Prepare the Fresh Herb Cream CheeseIn a mixing bowl or food processor, combine the cream cheese, sour cream (or crème fraîche), lemon juice, lemon zest, dill, black pepper, salt, and Chef Vedam’s Gluten-Free All-Purpose Seasoning Blend. Mix or process until smooth, creamy, and well balanced.Transfer the mixture to a pastry bag (or resealable bag) and refrigerate to allow flavors to marinate until ready to use.
- Prep the CucumbersPeel the cucumbers, leaving alternating strips of peel for visual variation. Slice on the bias into ½-inch rounds to create additional surface area for topping.If desired, use a small spoon or melon baller to gently scoop out a shallow well in the center of each slice.Pat dry and set aside.
